Joe – 8 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Joe is an 8 year old Staffordshire Bullterrier who would really like to find his new home. He came into Senior Staffy Club care as he was abandoned and had nowhere to go. He is currently in kennels where he is a very good boy and is quite a character – daft and lovely is how the kennel staff describe him! Joe likes all people, even the vet! He will happily get into a crate and once he has got over his initial excitement he travels well in the car.

Joe loves his walks and is very easy to walk on a harness. Joe is such a softy we feel he could be happy and enjoy living with older children 10 years plus, and he could live with a canine companion of his choosing as he gets along with all the dogs at the kennels – boys and girls – although he would probably prefer a lady friend. You can see Joe in the photos with two of his lady friends at the kennels.

Joe is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped and can be adopted anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be prepared to visit Joe twice – once to say hello, and then having had time to think carefully about offering Joe a forever home a second time to collect him. Joe is currently in the Worcester area.

We do ask for a £90 adoption donation to help us to continue our work helping other Senior Staffies in need.

For further details regarding adopting a dog from the care of Senior Staffy Club, please email seniorstaffyclub@hotmail.co.uk or telephone 07941 653924 / 07513 591784. Please note, an adoption fee of around £80-150 applies, but it depends on the dog itself. The aims of Senior Staffy Club are: - to help promote Senior Staffies already in rescue who are looking for a new home. - to encourage rescues to offer Senior Staffies rescue spaces by offering financial assistance with kennel fees and or vet bills. - to recruit foster carers that have been homechecked by us and who can then be used by any rescue that needs a comfy space for a Senior Staffy. - to pay Emergency Boarding fees for Senior Staffies at serious risk of being put to sleep until a rescue space can be found. - in some circumstances to offer rescue back up ourselves to those Senior Staffies most need and with no where to go.
