Joey is a male, 5 year old Collie cross English Bull Terrier. He has been in rescue kennels for 2 years now. We desperately want to see him rehomed for Christmas. Joey was rescued from “death row”; having been abandoned by his previous owner and served his 7 days in the council dog pound, he was due to be put-to-sleep. Luckily for Joey The Sapphire Trust came forward at the last minute to offer him a place in their rescue kennels. Joey is such a different dog from the one we rescued from death row. He is now a good weight (some might say a little portly!), has excellent recall, is toilet-trained and has learnt that not all people are bad. He even wags his tail when he sees us now! Joey is quite self-contained and easy to have around. His priorities are regular food, a comfy bed and a garden to explore and run around in.
If you would like a quiet companion to share your life with, Joey could be just the dog for you.
Sadly Joey has been waiting for a new home for nearly 2 years now. He is a lovely dog who just deserves someone to give him a second chance. If you think you would like to come and meet Joey, and perhaps offer him a home please give us a phone
