Johnny is a 3 year old male Cross-Breed. Johnny was dropped off at a kill shelter after his owner died and the heritors thought the dog was not part of their parents’ legacy… Poor boy spent 8 months in the pound enclosed in a small kennel and had almost gone insane by the time we saw a cry out for help and could finally get him out. It soon turned out that Johnny is really sweet natured who loves people and is eager to please you. He wants nothing more than to love and being loved by his humans! His friendly and happy character is always shining through!
Johnny is a medium to large size, slightly smaller and slimmer than a german shepherd dog. His beautiful wiry hair and ever smiling face just melts everyone’s hearts! He is a real charmer who’s trying to give you a paw constantly! He is generally friendly with dogs and gets on well with them. He definitely has no problem with female and neutered male dogs, sometimes entire males can mean a challange but he is not directly aggressive with anyone. He has been tested with cats and he is proved to be completely friendly with them and not showed any aggression.
He likes his food and can be well motivated by treats so he would happily try himself in some doggy sports or activities if given the chance. He is an active happy pooch who will need his daily exercise needs met. He walks nicely on the lead and he’s got a pretty good recall off lead too. He is house trained and is well behaved in the house. He can be left in a crate for a couple of hours if needed but he does not tolerate being left in an outside kennel due to having spent a real long time in a small kennel at the pound. He is so grateful for the care and attention he’s getting, it breaks our heart that he’s still not found his forever home.
Johnny would be best suited with a family without or with older children who can spend precious time with him and would not leave him alone for long periods of time. He needs an experienced owner as Johnny never lived in a family and he would need guidance when getting aquainted with his new environment. He could live with a friendly female dog or cats in the household, but he would equally be happy living with his humans to care for him only. Most importantly, he needs a family that is committed to give him all he’s been missing so far and will treat him as a member of the family.
Johnny is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family is found for him. He comes fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.
Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee.
