Joy is a five year old small to medium sized podgy Cross-Breed. Joy is a fostered in Gt Yarmouth (FR001). Her name is an obvious one the moment you meet her and that beautiful smile and cheeky eyes are what drew me to offering her a chance in the UK when I met her in a private shelter in Romania. This delightful little girl had been previously rescued from a public shelter.
I can only assume she was surrendered there or had been recently abandoned because there is simply nothing ‘street’ about this dog at all. You instantly get a vision of her having lived in a home, she doesn’t have the wily suspicious look many of the shelter dogs have, she doesn’t look like she’s had to survive on her wits.
I met her in the shelter in June and finally this weekend (Oct 15th) she arrived into my care and was as adorable as I remembered her to be. Joy has been fantastic with the other dogs, amazing with the kids, accepted walking on a lead in the space of five minutes and has been clean indoors. She is about as close to perfect as a dog gets!
