Katty – 18 month old female Cross-Breed
Katty is a beautiful medium sized 18 month old crossbreed girl. Spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Katty was rescued from Bulgaria but is now in a wonderful foster home in Reading. Katty is a very playful girl who loves toys, tuggies and other dogs. She has lived very happily with cats but may chase birds. After some long-line training Katty has become fantastic off lead and will even recall when other dogs are around. Katty is a very loving girl who can sometimes be a little shy of strangers but soon gets to know people.
Katty is in a fantastic foster home where she has learnt so much. She is a wonderful dog. Katty is very trainable and has a great desire to learn. She would be fabulous for agility or jogging etc, but is not highly strung. Katty is around 20 kg and will be a fabulous addition to any family. Katty does love other dogs and would ideally be rehomed with another dog. Katty is very gentle with children, although we would prefer Katty not be rehomed with very young children.
Katty is very eager to please and is obedient. When she sees the lead she comes up and sits waiting for it to be put on. If she pulls a little, she only has to be reminded and she stops. My cat comes for walks with the dogs, and when off lead if Katty looks as if she might try to chase, she immediately responds to a loud ‘No’. Katty has lots of energy and would suit an active home. She loves long walks on or off lead. When off lead she does not stray too far and stays within sight. She comes back when called. I have experience of Agility with my dogs, and I feel that Katty would be good at this. She is obedient and responsive, and I feel she would enjoy the variety. Katty has been clean in the house from day one, asking to go out into the garden when she needs to. Katty would love an active home either as the only dog or with another dog that would indulge in ‘doggy play’ with her. Katty would benefit from an experienced home where there is consistency in her training and commands used.
