Kent is an 11 month old male English Bulldog. He has not yet been fully assessed. He has been good with all dogs that he has been set up to meet here but his reactions are inconsistent out on walks. Sometimes not at all interested and sometimes very interested! More will be known once he has been assessed with more types of dogs in different circumstances. We are currently working on the basis of an only dog will make it easier but if you have a tolerant female, we would consider doing introductions. Kent is a very handsome Bulldog. He has many typical bulldog traits… very much a bull in a China shop! He does have reservations about meeting new people and needs time to get to know you.
Kent ideally needs a quiet adult only home. This is due to his fear of meeting new people. And when he gets to know you, his boisterous nature! A new owner would need to meet Kent a few times prior to adoption to develop a relationship with him. He loves his food and at the kennels is fed a raw diet of natural instinct. Kent has been healthy during his stay with us at Glendee. Kent has issues surrounding fear that we have been working on during his stay with us at Glendee. This is usually seen when meeting anything new to him. From new people to new objects on a walk. Given the time he needs to overcome his fear he is back to his bouncey bulldog nature! This is something that, in a new home would have to be worked on so that he isn’t forced into scary situations for him that would make him worse.
This is our current assessment, the assessments are on-going as always, and although we temperament test our dogs in many situations, we can not know how they be when they arrive in your home, support is given as always be given by the trainer you are matched to.
