Kez – 3 year old female Mastiff Cross

Kez (ref. 27d) is a very friendly and lovable 3 year old fawn female Mastiff cross. She was brought to Derby RSPCA Centre by an RSPCA Inspector. She has a very sunshiny nature and is a real pleasure to be with.  She walks beautifully on the lead and takes everything in her stride in a calm and confident way. If she woofs at you when you look at her in her kennel, it is only because she doesn’t know why you are looking at her and wants to know what’s going on.

Kez loves being stroked and made a fuss of and thinks being groomed is wonderful.  She loves to be with people and to be part of whatever’s going on, so she needs to go to a new home where there will normally be somebody around. She gets rather anxious and upset when she’s left all on her own.

Kez needs a home with active, experienced dog-owners who will see to it that she gets lots of fresh air and exercise to keep her healthy and happy.  She would be suitable for a household where any children were aged 15+ and where she would be
the only pet.  She would be certain to chase cats and rabbits, but she also doesn’t like the company of other dogs, so being the only dog in the home is a must.

Lovely Kez is a very bright and amiable dog, but her last owner didn’t devote much time to training her so she only knows 1 command at present (‘Sit’) and doesn’t yet know how to play.  However, she’s such a pleasant and obliging dog that it should be easy to train her and to introduce her gently and gradually to the idea of fun and games.

Kez really is a hugely likeable and friendly dog who fully deserves a second chance in a loving, caring, understanding and dog-knowledgeable new home-for-life where she can show her new owners what a sparkling creature she really is.
