Kish – 3 year old female Greyhound

Hello I’m a Greyhound called Kish and i’m 3 years old. Well what can I say….I didn’t like my last owners place so went out to look for a new one!  A very nice couple picked me up off the North East streets and asked Steve to take me in.  So here I am.  Quite a cheeky happy girl who’s tail never stops wagging.

I have met other dogs and seem to be ok with them but my favourite thing is looking for all the bunnies when I go out for a walk with my friends.  I do get corrected when I pull on the lead but I can just taste…I mean smell all those lovely furry things.

Update from her foster family:-

I have never met such a happy girl in all my years of working with dogs. Kish is always happy to see you from morning till night and is even happier when you take her some treats. She is a dog who loves her food and does get excited when she can smell doggy treats in your pocket.

Christmas was fantastic and she loved her soft bone squeaky toy, although she did leave it a bit soggy. She only left it for extra treats that I had in my pocket.

Kish can jump and she jumps even higher when she hears fireworks. Over the bonfire night period, both her and Jeanie do come into the house with the rest of my pack They both settled in very quickly.

Out walking Kish is always on the alert scanning the horizon, just hoping to get a glimpse of a bunny or even better a hare… She is a very strong girl when out walking and she loves being out and about. Other larger dogs that she has met, she has been OK with.

Kish is not a dog to be let off the lead in a public place as I am sure she would just get too distracted and not come back. She gets 3 lead walks a day and she is quite happy to let off steam in her kennel or in the garden.

Kish would make a excellent family pet as her temperament is great. Older teenage children are better as she can be a little clumsy.
