Korky – 5 year old female Dachshund

Korky is an approximately 5 year old dachshund who was handed into rescue after the new dog in the household did not accept her, so poor Korky was yet another victim of ‘out with the old, in with the new. Korky has the most charming and affectionate personality, you only have to look at her and she will be on her back, legs in the air – ready for a belly rub! She adores my 3 year old daughter, and would be fine to live with children.

Korky had some disc damage when she was younger which has healed now but means she is weak on her back legs. It is not something that will get worse, but does make her a little incontinent. Korky recently attended our fundraising dog walk, where we tried her off lead – and for someone so small with weak back legs…she can sure run! Her recall wasn’t brilliant and she would benefit from some recall training. Korky is great with cats and other dogs, though she would need to be separated when feeding. Korky is not destructive in the house, and fine to be left for a few hours each day. She would be ideal for a family or an older person / couple. She is a real ‘people dog’ and just loves company. she isn’t giddy or a high maintenance dog, all she wants is love… and she has plenty of love to give back!

Korky has been neutered, vaccinated, wormed, deflead and micro chipped.

Could you offer Korky the happy ending she is so desperate to find?
