Kuma – 2 year old female Akita
Meet Kuma, a pretty 2 year old Akita girl in Lancs originally rescued by German Shepherd Dog Rescue Scotland alongside fourteen other dogs from a German Shepherd breeder who was evicted from his home. Placed by the Friends of Akitas Trust in a new home, unfortunately Kuma finds herself looking again due to the existing dog in the home not accepting her as a sister. Her current owner is devastated, and stresses that the issue is with her boy, not with Kuma herself.
Coming to FOA as a bit of a nervy dog, Kuma has come on in leaps and bounds in a home, and is described as a sweet little girl who loves to roll over for a tummy rub! Responsive to commands, Kuma walks well on the lead and has not shown signs of food aggression or guarding. Due to the issues that Kuma is currently experiencing, it would be advantageous if she went to a new home as the only dog, however she could potentially live with the right male pending successful introductions and assessment of the present dog.
