Lara – 6 year old female Japanese Akita

Lara is a 6 year old female Japanese Akita that is looking for a new home As soon as possible. She came to the centre as a stray in April and was sadly diagnosed with breast cancer. As a result she has had her mammary strip removed, but unfortunately her cancer has come back, and the decision was made not to operate again as it was felt it couldn’t be treated successfully. Sadly Lara has been given a time limit of 6-12 months and we desperately want her to find a home to be in instead of living in kennels for her remaining time. If you look at her and spend time with her you wouldn’t believe anything was wrong!

Since being with us Lara has been a little star and a delight to have. All the staff here are very saddened by the situation. Lara is good with other dogs and loves everybody that she meets. She walks well on the lead and loves nothing more than to laze around in the sun.

Lara is looking for a home where she can be spoilt rotten and treated like a princess which she deserves. She can live with calm dogs as she enjoys the company, but not young children as she doesn’t want to be pulled around.

If you think you can offer Lara a home then please get in contact as soon as possible as she wants to have the home comforts she deserves.
