Lashi is a little Lhasa Apso who came to us from Spain recently. She was adopted a month ago but was returned to us today because she went for the resident dog. Lashi is around eight years old and was used as a breeding machine, discarded when she was no longer of use. Lashi has a fear of young men and we believe this is because of abusive treatment she suffered at the hands of one before she came to us.
As with a lot of these puppy farm mums, they can have their little quirks through lack of adequate socialisation and because of this Lashi does not like children. On the plus side, she is fine with other dogs and cats and lives with them happily. We think whatever happened today was to do with the dynamics in that house as Lashi has never had an issue with other dogs before and is back in foster with a new dogs.
Lashi is blind in one eye, but this doesn’t impinge on her life and no treatment is needed. On her vet check, it was pointed out that her teeth may need looking at in the future but not at this moment in time. A good diet and regular brushing in the meantime will help enormously!
Lashi is in foster in Southport now and needs a owner who understands that Lashi needs time to settle and understand everything is new to her because she has only spent her life as a puppy machine. Can you offer Lashi the security she needs? Lashi needs a home with no children but can go with other dogs and cats.
