Laynie – 5 year old male Cross-Breed

Laynie is a 5 year old male Cross-Breed. Laynie is fostered in Gt Yarmouth (FR001). Laynie was rescued from a closing shelter in Romania where 200 dogs were set to be killed. She was taken to a private shelter run by a friend of safe rescue and we offered to take her. Laynie has clearly not had a lot of positive experiences with humans and for a long time kept away as much as she could. Over time this sweet and quiet girl has learnt that human hands mean food and she’s started to push herself forward a little more. Being one of a large crowd here she is not reaching her full potential but when taken out on walks on her own is seeking out love and affection and now really needs to move on to better her progress.

Laynie is quite indifferent to other dogs, she’s not a lover or a fighter and lives peacefully alongside them all without forming any noticeable friendships. She is a calm and quiet dog that just loves a bed of her own to curl up in. After years of watching over her shoulder in shelters it’s understandable the peace and contentment she finds in just being able to relax undisturbed.

This is a dog that asks very little from anyone. She may not give much back in the way of enthusiastic affection right now but she’s learning at her own pace about forming relationships. Little by little and with hands bearing treats she will learn to love and be loved by someone who just allows her the time to blossom.
