Leo – 20 month old male Old English Sheepdog

Meet Leo, a 20 month old, Old English Sheepdog. Leo has found himself at WAW after being in two previous homes that did not understand that his behaviour (nipping) was caused by the pain in his hips, which resulted from irresponsible breeding. We are looking for a long term foster home for Leo – a special home for this giant puppy. A home that can show this beautiful, lovable boy the love and attention he craves before his pain becomes un-manageable.

You must live near enough to Warrington to be able to take him to the WAW vets so they can continue to monitor his hips. Ideally Leo will be the only pet (or in a home with low energy pets), no children, no stairs to climb and breed experience.

You must be prepared to buy his food, flea and worm treatments and keep on top of his grooming, but WAW will support his medical needs. Leo may also need hydro-therapy, which WAW will pay for, however you must be prepared to take him.

We need someone very special who can make him comfortable and be prepared to see what happens. Currently it has been advised that an operation is not really an option for Leo.
