This is the lovely Lola. She is a 4 year old Rottweiler cross Golden Retriever and is a loving and affectionate girl. She has a wonderful nature and is looking for a home. Lola came into rescue after being taken into the vet to be put to sleep. The vet refused to do this and instead had the owner sign her over to them and then searched out a rescue space for her. The owner had taken her toy off of her and given to the other dog in the household and when Lola snapped at the other dog (as he had her toy) she was deemed as aggressive.
Lola lives very well with the other dogs here and although she pulled a face at one of them the first day she was here, ever since she has been perfectly behaved. All I had to tell her was ‘No!’. Lola is clean in the home. She loves to be groomed and has a good appetite. She loves her walks and her manners outside are perfect around other dogs and strangers. She just ignores them. Her recall is spot on too. She has lived with cats and free range rabbits and has no aggression to other species in the home. Due to her past, she cannot be homed with young children. Teenage children would be fine. She can live with other dogs. She prefers the boys to the girls.
Lola is wary of people coming into the home (she is part Rottweiler) and will bark at them, so someone who knows the Rottweiler breed is preferable. Lola is very quiet in the home (except when she sleeps, she snores!) and can be left for short periods of time on her own. She is not destructive and does not suffer from separation anxiety. Lola has been spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She has been flea treated and wormed.
A homecheck will need to be carried out and a minimum adoption fee of £150 applies.
