Lola is 2 year old female Golden Retriever who is being re-homed due to no fault of her own. She is currently living with a Boxer called Dexter who is also up for re-homing but they are to be homed separately as Lola is too dominant with him. She is best suited to be the only dog in the household. Lola is a very clever girl and needs an owner who is one step ahead and who can be firm but fair! She needs plenty of exercise and although she can do basic commands and a few tricks, I think she has it in her to do much more and will flourish when given jobs to do. She is great with kids but too big and bouncy for toddlers and young children. She is not good with cats or small furries.
Lola has been known to demand to be centre of attention, often barking at visitors until they give her a cuddle. As she is so smart, I do not think this would take long to rectify with reward based training. She is a very good girl when left alone for a few hours. Lola is great with dogs on and off lead at the park and loves to romp around although her recall could do with a little extra work. Lola’s favourite game is tug and she also loves the water. Lola is microchipped, spayed and house trained. She is still at her family home in Hoddesdon, Herts, close to junction 25 of the M25.
