Lola is a stunning 2 year old female bull Lurcher. She came into our care as her owner had to move house and was unable to take her along. Lola was extremely stressed when she first arrived in kennels and was very wary of the new faces and unfamiliar environment. She has improved enormously and has really come out of her shell in the past month and a half and is so much more affectionate, enjoying a fuss. She can still be a little worried though with new people and when placed in new situations which is perfectly understandable.
Lola loves her walks and is fine on the lead although she is a strong dog. She loves playing and can run very fast when she is let off the lead. She is brilliant in the car and is very well behaved and calm. In many respects, her behaviour can resemble that of a puppy. She does jump up at times and can be mouthy when she is excited and frustrated.
Lola is looking for an experienced dog owner who will offer her a stable and calm home. It would be beneficial if they are familiar with reward based training although we would be happy to pass on our advice. Her new owner will need to be firm but fair with her and set her boundaries. She has a great deal of potential and is a smart dog and very food motivated so should enjoy the training.
Lola is not to be rehomed with children or other dogs. She is generally fine when meeting dogs whilst out and about but can be over exuberant.
