Please meet Lola. Lola is a 3 year old Yorkshire Terrier looking for her fur ever home. She is currently in a home where she is being left for long periods due to work commitments which is unfair on her. Lola is a sweet girl who is initially shy around new people and takes time to trust. Once she does, she loves to curl up with you on the sofa for cuddles.
Lola has not been well socialised when she was younger and finds some things daunting such as traffic but her current home are working hard on this and she is improving daily. She enjoys her walks and is excited to go and explore.
Lola has been coming to SEDR a few times a week to work on her socialisation with other dogs. She has massively improved but still can be vocal upon initial introductions and prefers to be around dogs who are not too playful or ‘in her face’ but we do feel she would prefer to be the only dog in the home, with someone who can help continue gaining her confidence with other dogs so she can have play dates in the park in the future.
Lola will need a home without children, in a calm and quiet household who have time to spend with her. She is very affectionate with those she knows but takes time to trust. She cannot live with cats. Lola has been vaccinated and microchipped but cannot be spayed until October due to a recent season. Lola is house trained, non destructive and fine to be left for a few hours.
