Lou

Lou is a 7 year old male Neapolitan Mastiff who is urgently in need of a home due to a relationship break up. He is a lively and active older gentleman with lots of energy but has been trained to ‘Sit’ and ‘Wait’ (very important with this breed!).

Lou is suffering terribly in kennels from acute stress and we are having to make emergency arrangements to get him out and into foster care to see if we can help him recover from his trauma.

Unfortunately his foster carer is due to go into hospital just before Christmas so he only has upto this time to be found a home. He is our most urgent and desperate case. If you have a rural home with a large secure garden or field and want a lively, happy companion to follow you around all day please get in touch urgently.

He is an old style, very large specimen of the breed but seems to be physically sound with no serious health problems. He has lived outdoors most of his life.

He has some skin problems which will need some TLC to help fix but once he is living indoors and has softer bedding and more stimulation to stop him nibbling his callouses these should clear up. At the moment he is unneutered so this will need to be undertaken (to reduce the chances of him being stolen) before transfer of ownership.
