Lucy is a five year old Greyhound. She is the most beautiful, gentle girl who came to us in an appalling emaciated state after having been picked up as a stray. Lucy, even though she arrived in such an appalling state due to someone’s previous neglect, loves people. She likes to lay close and be fussed, she would happily lie there all day having a fuss and she gives you a gentle nudge every time you stop. She loves her walks and walks well after her initial excitement at going out for a walk. Lucy is great with meeting people, very gentle and okay with other dogs although she is not keen on them approaching directly into her space which is common with a lot of dogs. She is a keen ex-racer and although she is fine with many small dogs, she is not cat or small furry friendly.
Lucy is well behaved, clean and non demanding. In the house she is great, a typical lazy greyhound. Her fosterer says apart from preparing an extra dinner and an extra walk, you really don’t know you have her. She can be left for a few hours without problem, she is happy in a crate and as long as she has somewhere soft to lay she will sleep while you are out. She is not fussy over food and she will eat anything. She will come when called and she does what she is told without question.
Lucy is a beautiful girl she has settled well and she will make a super addition to her new family. We think that she would be best with other hounds, probably male although she never minds being left alone so she should be fine as an only dog. She has been great with every person she has met so we don’t think that children would be a problem as long as they are old enough to know how to behave correctly with dogs.
Lucy is spayed, micro chipped, wormed and flea treated. She can be homed both locally and nationally dependent on a successful homecheck.
