Lucy is a 10 year old Springer cross Terrier. She is a very calm quiet dog who loves cuddles and kisses and always wants company. She has fit in with our resident dogs well and tries to play all the time however her back legs do let her down sometimes due to her age. She loves walks but lags behind a bit on long ones again possibly due to her age. She did pull on lead but now seems fine after figure of eight work. She has excellent recall. She doesnt seem to like to swim but will paddle. Lucy likes the idea of having a ball but will not fetch or chase.
My opinion on Lucy is she needs a queit home either with other dogs or on her own. She wouldn’t be too bothered however preferably with a family with older children and possibly with people who are home a lot as she seems to have separation issues. She had a bladder infection when first in foster but this is being treated by a change to her diet to Royal Canine Urinary S/O dry food which she will have to be on for life. She constantly attempts to pee on walks even if she doesnt need to and very occasionally has accidents in the house. The vet has said possibly a condition due to her age.
Overall Lucy is a sweet loveable girl who just wants to be loved and able to enjoy the rest of her life in her forever home. Lucy is neutered chipped vaccinated wormed and flead and adoption is subject to meet and greet and homecheck. Applications via forms section of website please.
