Lulu came in to rescue with Tigger, Wahla Bear and India (now rehomed) and is actually Tigger’s mum. She is a 3-year old Chihuahua and is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. This little lady is a worrier. She spent a good few weeks hiding when she first arrived in her foster home and would not come out from under the sofa. Given time and patience she eventually decided that she would join the rest of the ‘pack’ and now has taken very well to her foster mum and enjoys regular cuddle time. Potential adopters will have to be prepared to work with her and expect similar issues when she moves to her new home.
Lulu came from a multi-dog household and is happy to live with other dogs, male or female. Lulu hasn’t yet been cat tested. It takes Lulu an awfully long time to trust people so her new owners will have to be very patient with her and accept that she is a ‘work in progress’. She tends to be a bit barky towards strangers but isn’t aggressive. Because of her nervous disposition we will not rehome her with children.
Lulu will be a project and her new family will have to be prepared to work on her housetraining and be with her for most of the day as she wouldn’t be happy if left for long periods. We have not been able to get Lulu out for walks as yet so lead training will have to be ongoing when she moves to her new home. She is a tiny girl so gardens will need to be very secure so she can’t escape.
We are looking for a chi-experienced home with adults only. Lulu will need a lot of work and patience to bring her round but she will get there. Please only apply if you fit the criteria. Lulu is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with her flea and worm treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to visit Lulu in her foster home in RCT, South Wales.
If you are interested in adopting Lulu please read about our rehoming process and complete a Pre-Adoption form ( link here ) and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you for a chat.
