Lulu – 12 year old female Tibetan Terrier

Darling Lulu 12 year old Tibetan Terrier. This lovely girly has come into our care, it was not the best way for her to come into rescue as she had a major operation as she had a pyometra then straight into a foster home so she had a lot to cope with but we had no choice she could have died as it happened we think she has suffered for a while. This sweet dog is recovering from her operation now, she has had her stitches out, nails clipped and started her vaccinations. She is living with a retired couple and their two dogs.

Lulu has been very quiet and a bit shut down was the only was to describe her as the weeks have gone on she has slowly starting to enjoy life, to begin with she kept to herself, she is now choosing to sleep in her foster families bedroom at night with the other dogs rather than on her own, she loves her walks and gets excited, she has a very sweet temperament but does not seem to know about love and cuddling so can appear aloof she wants to but seems unsure about it, it took her a week to get on the sofa not sure she had been allowed before and slowly she is relaxing – I am not entirely convinced she has had the best of lives as the came with a crate which we do not use and has not had much love.

This all is to change to for this lovely girl for the years she has left, she seems to love being with the other dogs so would be nice if we could find her a home with other gentle dogs like her, a home where people will not be worried about this lovely girl not getting on their lap but we have the patience to give her time for her to learn what proper love is all about.

She is not nervous just does not know about. She has been around children, lots of people and has a wonderful temperament, at the vets she was good as gold having her nails clipped and ears checked etc. She is house trained, travels well in the car and walks lovely on the lead. She has now been spayed, chipped and had her first vaccination.
