My name is Mabel and I live in Aberdeen. I’m a Beagle cross Hound and I was rescued from Spain last year. I’m an older lady of 10 but I saw the vet this week and I’m great for my age. When I arrived in Scotland I came to stay with what I thought would be my forever family with three children to have fun with. And we have had fun. But now things are changing within the family and my dog sister and I need to find new homes and I’m really sad about it. My original rescue team are helping me find what I Hope is my last and forever home.
I got a bit spoiled because I had a bad life before so I’m a bit on the chunky side. I’d love someone or a family who love walking to help me in my retirement. I’m really scared to have to go to kennels as I thought that part of my life was over. I’m too old for kennels. Sometimes I have to get up in the night to do a wee so if your a night owl or need to get up yourself I’ll keep you company.
My adoptive Mum is really really upset because she wanted to give me a good life but the situation is out of her control and the children will be very upset too. I get on great with children. I love to play then flop down to sleep. As usual for all dogs I need a secure garden. An active retired home with visiting grandchildren would be just wonderful.
Please can you offer me a home – my vet says I have at least a good 5 years yet and I don’t want to be in kennels. I’m neutered and all my vaccinations are up to date.
If you have a Mabel shaped space in your home and heart please get in touch with my team.
