Maisy – 6 month old female Terrier Cross

Maisy is a 6 month old Terrier Cross and is currently on foster in Aberystwyth, West Wales. Maisy is typically Terrier in attitude, she is a great dog but we would like an experienced home for her. She loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home and can play for hours. Maisy is not cat friendly and i very much doubt she would be small animal friendly. Maisy moo is great with children and loves them but as she is a typical terrier pup who is going through a jumping up stage and puppy nipping we feel she would suit a home with older children only, preferably 10 and older.

Maisy can be left fine for a couple of hours, she sleeps in her crate with her toys. But any longer she will become bored and will screech .. you havent heard anything like it …very high pitched.

She can be quite destructive, so anything left in her reach is fair game, she will destroy anything she can get to, although has been fine with furniture. But remotes, cables, shoes, socks, clothes, toys – she will shred within minutes.

Maisy would benefit from a home with another dog to play with in to help her expend her energy and im sure she would be fantastic at agility as boy can this little girl jump, she is keen to please and very intelligent.

A secure garden is a must, as she could jump a 4 foot fence without even blinking! She definitely needs training classses and would benefit greatly from them, she is very good walking on lead once you get going, although i would recommend walking her on a harness as initially she will practically strangle herself to get going. Her recall offlead however is excellent.

Maisy loves water and playing and having fun, we are looking for an active home, an agility home would be great, with someone home most of the day, with older children for her to play with, another dog for her to keep herself amused and someone dedicated to training her and helping her become the great little dog i know she can be.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family.
