Mamut – 4-5 year old male Spanish Water Dog Cross

This gorgeous black dog appeared close to the refug in Spain one morning – asking for some help!
Mamut is a very affectionate medium sized boy with a long fluffy black coat, he stands at 45 cm to the shoulder and 40 cm from collar to base of tail.Once he was safe and sound in the refuge, he integrated well with the other dogs, but really loves the company of people. He is a friendly boy who loves to get into any available lap. He was described as a bit ‘disheveled’ when he arrived, so unfortunately, he had to be clipped short by our groomer. He was very good with her, and hopefully with some regular brushing, he will stay looking his best! Now has a foster place living with a cat. We will try to test for children.

Fosterer’s report : Mamut is now in foster care for the last few weeks and they report that he is loving and affectionate dog. He also lived with cats happily during this time. Current location is in a foster home in Spain can travel to the UK once he has a home to go to. Vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, Neutered, Microchipped, Pet Passport, FREE 4 weeks Pet Insurance to be activated from the link on our website, Any known health issues NONE KNOWN.

For Dogs coming from Spain: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK. We can not home dogs from Spain to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered.

They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough. Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

Adoption Fee : £ 150 + transport costs – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account.
