Mara is a 2 year old female Pointer Cross. Mara is a rescue from Cyprus who has just joined her foster family in the UK. Here is a little about her. Mara is cheeky and energetic. But she can sometimes be timid and nervous of new people. She loves to play and chew and really enjoys her cuddles with you. She walks well on a lead. But needs a little more work on her recall. If left to her own devices she can be an escape artist, so she will need a secure garden.
She has no issues around food and is now house trained though you may need to watch for her signals when she first joins you. She gets on very well with other dogs and currently spends the night sleeping with her foster mum’s dogs on the sofa. She has been crated, but would benefit from more positive training if you wished to use a crate with her. She is great with kids and once she gets to know you, she is a loving, loyal girl. She hasn’t met any cats or other small furries so we are not sure how she will react to them.
Mara needs an active home as she loves to run and hunt in woods and bushes. She would benefit from a family who have experience with dogs/pointers as she has the potential to be fantastic. She is intelligent and loves to learn. Her foster mum believes with more training she would flourish into a brilliant companion and perfect family pet. She has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Adoption is subject to home check.
