Marbles – 7 year old female Rottweiler

Marbles is a spritely 7 1/2 year old Rottweiler female. She loves her toys, ball and bed. We don’t know much about her past but she ended up tied up outside a shop after living with a homeless person. Marbles isn’t a particularly tactile dog and if you are a canine cuddler she isn’t the one. Once she trusts and knows you she will give you the occasional nudge for a stroke and loves being with you.

Sadly, we have discovered Marbles doesn’t cope with more than three people around her especially if several are unknown and this is outdoors and she has bitten. Although we were very shocked by her doing this as is so sweet natured with us and our volunteers who walk her so we had her health checked to ensure not in pain or unwell. But as there are no signs of injury or illness we now feel this may be a fear from her previous life where living on the streets didn’t always mean small groups of people coming together was a good thing for her or her owner.

This means we are now looking for a special home in the South West that is quiet and rural and with only 1 or 2 adults who are prepared to come and walk and get to know her slowly. She can be selective with dogs and likes to be in charge and prefers calm steady individuals. No cats or children.
