Marley is a 16 month old male Labrador Cross. Marley is a rescue from Cyprus, currently living in a foster home in Knebworth. He hopes to find his very own forever home where he will be safe and loved. Marley is a wonderful, gentle, character who has a youthful enthusiasm so he we would prefer he finds a home with someone who has experience with dogs and will be prepared to do some training. He will reward his forever family by being the most loving and loyal dog. His foster mum has started to crate train him and he is happy to go and sleep in the crate during the day but as yet they aren’t shutting the door. He also loves to sleep on the sofa, the bed, the floor, any old blanket and if it’s in the sun even better.
He could be an only dog but he would need someone around during the day as he would get very bored, he is still a young dog. He would also mix very well with other dogs as long as the other dogs are not nervous of large dogs as he can be a bit bouncy when playing. His foster mum has two Labrador girls and he has settled in very well with them both from the moment he arrived. There is no food aggression, he likes to pick at his food through the day but he doesn’t mind if another dog approaches his bowl.
Training treats need to be high value treats such as hotdogs or cheese to keep his attention. He is very gentle taking a treat. He sleeps through the night without needing to go out. He enjoys going out for a walk, and loves to sniff new smells and meet other dogs. He can be a bit boisterous but with training he will calm down. It is not known how he will be with young children and so we would suggest older dog savvy children. He has not been cat tested. He is a lovable boy who is still very much a puppy. If his new family is happy to give him the right guidance and training they will get the dog of their dreams!
He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Minimum adoption donation £275. ADOPTION IS SUBJECT TO HOME CHECK.
