Martha is a 20 month old female Cross-Breed. This pretty little girl is Martha and she is in foster with 5 dogs, 2 cats, 2 teenagers, and her foster Mum and partner. She has settled in well and likes everyone, even the cat. She is a very loving girl who is ready for her golden forever basket. She will make someone a perfect companion.
Martha is only small and is a very pretty girl. She weighs about 7kg, although she is a little on the skinny side so would benefit from gaining a kilo. She is small size but has longish legs, and is similar in size to a Border Terrier although thinner set. She will not take up much space on your sofa.
Martha is a playful girl, and loves to play (particularly with one of Jo’s dogs), and is good with other dogs on walks. She is fed separately as she has been food aggressive, and she is put in another room when Jo’s family are eating. She needs someone who can train her and understand her, and is able to set boundaries and read her signals. She needs to be socialised with new people and put in new situations, so she becomes a confident girl. She is a little fearful of strangers coming into the home, but is okay once she realises they are friendly.
Martha loves her cuddles, but she can be jealous of the other dogs getting attention so would make a great only dog. She is house trained and lead trained. She loves her walks and is very good on the lead and doesn’t pull. She has been let of the lead once and was fine, but will need training to perfect her recall. Martha is fine to be left alone for short periods and just settles down to sleep. She is the same when her foster mum goes upstairs behind the safety gate and leaves her downstairs with the other dogs. She calmly settles and goes to sleep.
Martha has been in the UK for 10 weeks – she came over from Romania, where she was originally in a horrible pound, but saved and lived in a private rescue. She is neutered, vaccinated and chipped.
Homecheck and Adoption fees apply.
