Max – 9-10 year old male German Shepherd Dog

Meet poor old Max been neglected for years and he is now 9-10 years old which has resulted in a terrible skin condition as you can see but compared with what he looked like he was nearly bald he is 100% better and improving all the time. He was on medication steroids and antibiotics but no longer requires these and is improving without. We feel he has had this skin condition for years and it was left untreated we think caused by poor diet as he was being fed rubbish food – he is on Burns now and seems to be thriving on it.

Max is a big dog and once better is going to be a stunning dog – he has not had a lot done with him and has probably not been walked or had much done with him at all so although good with the dogs at the sanctuary he is very confused on how to play with other dogs and unsure – he would maybe at his age be best homed as an only dog – we think he would thrive best in an adult home with someone who is used to large dogs… This boy is crying out for a proper home for his last years…
