Max – 5-6 year old male English Springer Spaniel

Max is a 5-6 year old male English Springer Spaniel. Max is a lovely boy who once you have won his confidence will reward you with being your best friend and your shadow. Max is a shy and reserved boy and takes a little while to settle within the house. He loves to sit on your feet for a stroke and will often lie by you but he is not a cuddle monster and enjoys his own space. Max is more comfortable around women to start off with and can take a while to warm to men but again given time and space he will soon settle.

Max sleeps in a crate at night time with no bother. Max also wines to go out to the toilet and has been clean in the house. Max has been good with all dogs he has met and has played but generally isn’t bothered by them. So I feel he could be rehomed as a lone dog or with another dog to help with his confidence. Max can be nervous when out on a walk and so far has not been let off the lead but is doing well on a long line so he can still have freedom and shift some of his extra pounds. He is improving everyday and certainly enjoys is his walks now.

Max can be left for 4 hours with no problems. No cats as he chases and growls at them. Max knows a range of commands such as sit down paw and other paw and wait and takes food very nicely. He has lovely manners. No children as he finds them very stressful and doesn’t enjoy being overly fussed.

Max is in foster in Derbyshire and he is neutered, vaccinated, chipped, wormed and flead. Adoption subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation of £200. Applications via the forms section of the website please.
