Maya – 5 year old female Terrier Cross

Who is this long legged beauty? This is the beautiful Maya. Maya is one of the many dogs abandoned in Spain, another dog that was close to being put to sleep, Terrier SOS stepped in and she is now in the UK. Maya is about 5 years old. Maya is the gentlest and sweetest girl you could ever meet, wonderful with people and dogs (no small furries, sorry).

She is loving and her tail never stops wagging. Maya walks well on lead and has excellent recall, except when she spots a pesky squirrel (love these Terriers). She is perfectly fine with other dogs and loves a good game of chasing the ball. She is housetrained and the perfect guest. She is fine out and about and loves nothing more than a stroll to the local coffee shop to sit and people watch.

Like many dogs in Spain, Maya has been abandoned by the people she trusted, and now that she has a family, she suffers with separation anxiety when they leave. This is being addressed, we have a behaviourist and there has been improvement. The new family would need to continue this training but the ideal family would be there for her, and have the understanding to help her through this anxiety. Maya has her passport, fully vaccinated, spayed and is being fostered in Hertfordshire.
