Merle – 2 year old female Lurcher

Some really lucky family are going to strike gold with this most wonderful girl. Merle is around 2 years old and recently came to us from the stray pound. We have no idea how she ended up in this situation. Merle has the most stunning red merle patch markings on her and the tell-tale collie wall eye one being brown and one being blue. Merle has done nothing other than steal hearts at the kennels since landing. She is fabulous with all the other dogs both big and small and a very gentle subservient little lady. She is not that big only around 24 inches and walks like a dream out and about on lead.

Since landing Merle has had two cat tests and both times she has actively backed away from the cats and shown no interest. As with any cat-dog introductions due caution would need to be taken and a dog savvy cat would be best in the home so as they know how to react around dogs.

Merle loves the children at the kennels and we feel would be gentle enough to live with children 5 years and upwards. Although we feel with someone around most of the time Merle has the capabilities to live as an only dog, she does adore other dogs and gets her confidence from them and would likewise love a home with playmates in residence. If she were to be an only dog lots of social meet ups and interactions with other dogs would be imperative.

Merle is currently in the kennels in the Midlands BUT after spaying on Wednesday we hope to move her into a foster home with cats in residence in Derbyshire on Friday of this week to get her more used to being around them. Merle is vaccinated, kennel cough vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped and spayed.
