Mescha – 17 month old female Akita
This is Mescha, a sweet 17 month old Akita girl looking for a new home due to a relationship break down. Friendly and happy to be approached Mescha enjoyed a good stroke and a cuddle from our assessor, who describes her as “adorable and very gentle”. Incredibly calm for such a young dog, Mescha has a good knowledge of commands, however in true Akita style likes to display this on her own terms! Gentle with both toys and treats, Mescha shows her more playful side with the other resident dog, bounding around and having a lot of fun! Mescha currently lives with teenage children; she will not be placed in a home with young children due to a lack of experience around them.
Currently living with Hector (FOA Ref: 216) we are confident that pending successful introductions Mescha could live with another dog, and whilst they do not have to be re-homed together, applications to adopt Mescha and Hector as a pair will be welcomed.
