Mia – 6 year old female Boxer

Mia is a lovely Boxer female aged 6 years old – she has been with her owner since 8 weeks old – unfortunately for Mia things have changed in the house and there are now two babies and not enough time for her. She is a typical Boxer, friendly bouncy and full of energy and her needs were not being met – she started messing in doors and she had to go.

We have had Mia in two weeks now – she has shown herself to being super friendly, great with kids at the kennels – I have just spent sometime with her today throwing and a ball and getting to know her better – she really is very loving and friendly she is in great condition and has been very obviously well loved.

She is high energy though but not over the top and needs someone who has had Boxer experience or high energy dog, she is going to need her exercise and I do not feel she should be left for hours on her own as she is very interactive with people. She will be fine living with children but should be older as I think she will knock them over otherwise with her bouncy personality – she has had some training as she sat and waited while I threw the ball for her.

We feel she would do best as an only dog – she is fine with the terriers who live up at the kennels and is not really interested but any new dogs she has not been particularly friendly with but I am not sure if this is a stress thing and she may settle down once in her new home but please bear this in mind.
