Micky – 10 month old male Lurcher

Micky is a stunning brindle and white Lurcher young boy and considering how he was found, he is in beautiful condition, with a soft and smooth coat, and he has a fab personality. Poor thing was found dumped in a field in the middle of nowhere clearly been there for some time as he had tried to make a bed in the grass in the pouring rain. When he was found he looked like he had lost the will to live, poor soul.

DogWatchUK saved Micky off the pound list (he was due to be put to sleep) and so far we have a good assessment of him by the Dog Warden, this is what she says- “Micky is good on the lead, walked past all the other dogs, sniffed and said hello, tail wagging like mad and no aggression shown. Micky doesn’t know any commands, he loves treats and takes them nicely, he loves a gentle rub under the chin on both sides while he rests his head on your lap with his eyes closed.

He was a bit of a scaredy pants yesterday when he was picked up from the wet and muddy field, how totally sad for such a young pup, we don’t know how long he’d been there for. He is not at all aggressive, he is just a big playful fool. Micky has a super waggy tail and he is so handsome, he could be a male pin up in the lurcher community, has very striking eyes.Had a good nose into the treat drawer and had his nose in the pouch of dog treats like a nose bag, very funny boy”.

Foster Report: Micky arrived this morning and he is very inquisitive and checking everything out. He is a nice looking boy and quite chunky and tall but he needs a bit of weight on him. He is food motivated and we think he is going to learn fast with treats. He likes his tennis ball and has given us some kisses already. He has a nice personality and we are working on his “sit” and “take gently” now. He is vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, will be neutered before being rehomed, microchipped. Adoption Fee is £155.
