Miles is an 8 month old Kokoni cross Terrier rescue from Cyprus who is currently living in a foster home in Stockton-on-Tees. He has flown to the UK hoping to find a loving, forever home.
His foster mum describes Miles as “puppyish, with a mad half hour then happy to settle
for a cuddle and a sleep”.
Miles is a Kokoni Terrier cross. The Kokoni is a Greek dog and “Kokoni” means “small dog” in Greek.
Kokoni love human interaction and are fearless despite their small size. The breed is alert, lively, cheerful, smart and loyal. They are great companion dogs. Kokoni love to run and play and Miles is no exception to this breed description.
Miles is happy to play with his human or by himself. He is still just puppy. He walks well on the lead especially on his harness. He is not keen on a lead attached to his collar.
Miles is happy to eat with other dogs, however he is not a big eater and can get bored, meaning he loses his food to others. He just loves being with other dogs and is very sociable with them. He knows when other dogs are happy to play with him or when they are telling him off! He shows an interest in cats but no aggression towards them.
Miles soon warms to strangers and is happy and relaxed around his humans. He has met a nervous child and just ignored them. He is very happy to sleep in his crate at night but would prefer not to be in it during the day.
Being a puppy Miles does need some help and further support so that he learns that his humans are coming back when he is left alone and that he can relax when alone.
Miles is hoping to find a couple or family who will be there for him and as with any other puppy joining your family he will benefit from ongoing training and guidance to help him develop into his full potential as a fabulous family pet. He is still a puppy and learns fast. He is very focused on his human and might enjoy obedience or agility training too.
He is a very loving wee dog and would be happy as an only dog providing his humans play with him or he would be happy sharing his home with another dog.
If you can offer this loving, star of a boy his very own forever home and family, please contact DOG Rescue Cyprus.
He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His rescue offers full post adoption support.
