Millie is a medium sized Cross-Breed bitch of around 8 or 9 years old. Millie has spent the whole of her life in a poverty stricken, mud filled shelter in Romania. It is a shelter that we visited during our trip to Romania in April and one whose sights and smells I will, unfortunately, never forget. Despite the squalor Millie has known kindness from the people at the shelter and this appears to have set her up reasonably well for life in domesticity. She can be weary of new people initially but soon relaxes into a happy, waggy tailed little dog that charms her visitors with her happy disposition and gratitude for a bit of attention.
Milly is currently living with other dogs and has no issues with them, she is not cat tested. Due to her past we feel Milly would be best suited to a quietish retirement home where routine and stability are a key factor in giving her the settlement that she deserves. Milly is starting to enjoy her walks but did at first struggle with lead training and still has the odd moment of objection but this will pass with time and gentle encouragement.
There’s just a big wide world out there that she has never been a party to and this is her time now. She is happy to be left at home alone for a few hours and will just curl up and go to sleep, barely even noticing your absence!
