Millie and Bluey – 10 and 12 male and female Yorkshire Terriers

Here we have Milly and Bluey, two lovely little Yorkshire Terriers – Milly is the mother and she is 12 and Bluey her son is 10. Here is their story.

Brought in 3 weeks ago by a breeder who no longer wanted them any more as she could not look after them – I suspect it was because she could not sell them as they were so old… All their life they have been kept in kennels – but I was lucky enough to find some angels who have fostered these two… When they came in their fur was mattered and full of fleas – Bluey the smaller one of the two was really traumatised by it all so much so we thought we were going to lose him as he would not eat. Milly faired better as she is more outgoing and soon came round. They were both neutered and have had rotten teeth removed, Milly was found to have 3 mammary tumours but has recovered well and there is not expected to need any further treatment.

Bluey

Nearly one month later and these two lovely dogs are ready to find their final forever home to have everything they deserved but never had. Milly is the more outgoing one of the two and is extremely affectionate and wants to be on your lap all day giving you lots of love – Bluey really could do with some more one to one that is why we are not worried about splitting them as Milly is so outgoing she pushes Bluey out the way and they do not seem that bonded- he is improving and is not so reserved and will come for a fuss now he particularly likes the man in the house. As you can imagine they are not house trained but this is coming on and they have improved no end but this is something to consider as its something you need to work on and it will come but its going to take time these dogs have spent their lives in kennels remember but they are getting there – Bluey will ask you to go out now and Milly never does number twos in the house…

Bluey

They are living with two other dogs and are good with the grand children both have lovely temperaments, travel well in the car, walks well on the lead and off the lead.

Bluey is one of those tiny Yorkshire Terriers and Milly is more the normal size…
