Milly – 9 year old female Spaniel Cross

Milly is a lovely, very timid and small 9 year old Spaniel cross. She has come into foster due to not getting with another dog after a new one arrived. Milly has no aggression to people or dogs with no guarding tendencies either. Milly is good on the lead, with good recall and is house trained. Milly is good with children. She would be able to be rehomed as an only dog or with an older calm dog for company. However Milly unfortunately is not without some issues. She has found rehoming extremely difficult and took 5 days for her to feel settled enough to become relaxed.

Milly’s separation anxiety shows itself in her whining, pacing, pinning and howling. Her new family will need to be extremely patient and understanding of Milly and given time will see that Milly will give you her full trust and love, proving to be the lovely girl she is. If you are interested in Milly please be aware it will not be a quiet rehoming until she is settled and you must be fully committed to Milly and her needs as coming back into foster will not help her in the slightest. Walks in the beginning will need to be in the same area and on a long line to build up confidence. With no off lead until she has settled properly as she will run off and become deaf. Milly will come with some rescue remedy In the hope that it will ease this transition.

Milly is a lovely girl once she let’s you in but you have to earn her trust. Milly is in foster in North Yorkshire. She is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flead. Adoption subject to meet and greet and homecheck. Applications via the website please.
