Milo is an 8 month old male Whippet cross type dog. He came into our care from the inspectors as his owner was finding it difficult to cope. Apparently they expected Milo to be smaller but he is not a big dog by any means and quite petite, although still growing of course. Milo is a sweet natured and loving boy. He does have a grasp of basic commands like sit and give paw. He walks well on the lead and is always well behaved when out and about. He is friendly to everyone but being still a very young dog, he does seem to like lots of attention which is understandable.
For this reason he needs to go to a home where someone is around most of the time. He is still only a puppy so could do with more training like learning not to jump up and being taught to be well mannered at home. Poor Milo is quite underweight at present but this will definitely improve once he is in a settled/loving home.
Milo could be rehomed with children of secondary school age. He could also be rehomed with another neutered female dog . He lived with cats previously so doesn’t seem to have the high prey drive that most sighthounds have . However care must still be taken in the presence of small animals.
