Milo is a 6 month old male Terrier Cross. This lovely little boy I think is possibly Terrier, Dachshund mix – he was found with his sister in a terrible state and absolutely terrified in Spain.
For the last couple of months along with his sister he has been in an experienced foster home with her sister and other dogs. His sister not so scared has now been successfully rehomed so now its Mr Milo’s turn as he is now ready.
I feel I know this boy very well as I have been looking after him this week as his foster carer was on holiday. Shy at first he bonded quite quickly with me, I hope in the videos it comes across what an absolute sweetie this little boy is, he loves the other dogs especially Max the big Podenco and get his confidence from watching him and doing what he does.
Except for the first night he has slept with me snuggled up, he is a very loving little boy with me, lots of kisses and cuddles but still finds it difficult to believe you are not going to hurt him which is heart breaking, you can bend down to put his lead on for example and he flinches and freezes expecting you to hit him who knows the suffering as a baby but he is trying his best he can to move forward, out on a walk now he loves it, his little tails is up, I have not let him off as he is still nervous us with me about putting the lead on and I do not want to lose him, but I know his foster carer Sue lets him off.
Back in the home he is such an easy dog to live with, completely house trained, quiet, he just sleeps with the others and happy to just chill after his walk – he has nibbled a few cushions etc so is left in a crate when you go out and he seems to be fine with no problems being left.
Milo needs a quiet home he is never going to suit a busy family home, he is not particularly high energy but would probably walk as long as you wanted but seems fine with shorter walks too, he adores other dogs and get his confidence from them so we feel its essential another friendly confident dog is part of his forever family. An experienced gentle kind person or couple would be perfect for him.
Milo is neutered, vaccinated and has his own Pet Passport.
