Milo and Phoebe are 10 year old male and female Yorkshire Terriers. This adorable duo are sadly looking for a new home due to their owner’s long work hours, resulting in them being left alone for long periods throughout the day. Milo and Phoebe are not related but have been together all of their life so we are looking for a home where they can stay together. Due to the current situation where they are being left alone for long periods Phoebe has started to toilet in the house. This could be behavioural but there is also a possibility of something medical going on, such as incontinence. Milo also has a history of fits and is reported to have had around 2 fits a year. Unfortunately neither dog has seen a vet for a long time so we hope to have more information on this once they see our vet here at the rescue. However given their age it is likely that they may have several medical issues so their new owner must be prepared for the responsibility and cost of this.
Milo and Phoebe are both very friendly and affectionate dogs, Milo is the more clingy of the two and loves attention, whereas Phoebe is a bit more independent. They get along well with other dogs and could live with dogs in their new home, preferably dogs of a similar size and age. They have also been around cats in the family without any concerns so may also be able to live with a cat in their new home.
Milo and Phoebe have grown up with a child who was only 3 years old when they arrived. They are also used to visiting children of various ages, however due to their age we feel they would be best suited to a quieter home where any children are over the age of 10.
Ideally we are looking for a home where they will not be left alone for more than a couple of hours with someone patient who can help Phoebe with her toilet training. Overall Milo and Phoebe are a delightful pair who will make wonderful companions.
