Milo – 2 year old male Greyhound
Milo is a 2 year old Greyhound boy who is currently being fostered in Bollington, Cheshire. Working with another organisation we saved Milo from potentially being put to sleep. He was one of around 70 greyhounds facing destruction due to his owner’s chance of circumstances; the other dogs are going to rescues nationally. He has come from the racing industry but hasn’t been trained to race, he has never known a home only a kennel-this is where all that a changes from here on in! Milo has started vaccinations, been wormed, flead and microchipped. He will be castrated in due course along with a teeth clean. Milo is a very healthy dog.
Milo is a big greyhound and beautiful with it. He is generally good with other dogs, although he’s only really known Greyhounds. He is very friendly; he is good on the lead and doesn’t pull. He is very loving and affectionate and loves his cuddles. We would rehome with well trained children, and/or another dog but we’ve no idea what he’s like with cats and small furries.
Everything is new for Milo, every day things we take for granted like roads, household appliances, TV, hoover, carpet, doors, heating etc.Milo has accepted everything wonderfully, we cannot fault him in any way, he is perfectly clean in the house and is not bothered by anything other than being a bit wary of cars at the moment His foster mum expected hard work but he’s been an absolute breeze and she said he’s fabulous!
Contrary to common belief Greyhounds don’t need excessive amounts of exercise; they enjoy regular walks like any other breed. They love their home comforts too, oh and lots of space! They need a raised stand for feeding, a special greyhound collar, a coat for cold and wet weather and a big cushion type bed to spread out on! Oh, they love sofas so perhaps you have one spare! If you are looking for a gentle, loving, placid but playful dog with character then a greyhound, especially Milo, is for you!
