Minnie is a beautiful 18 month old British Bulldog girl. She is a very friendly girl, but can be a little cowed at times if she doesn’t understand what is happening. This stems from having led a rather too sheltered life, and not having had opportunity to get out and explore the world. However her confidence is continuing to grow as her world expands. Minnie came to us after her owners breakdown. She was bought for breeding, and whilst pregnant came out with demodectic mange. This is a treatable, non contagious form of mange, however it can be inherited by any puppies. She will be spayed prior to her adoption, to prevent further breeding.
Minnie is fabulous with other dogs – little and large. She has little experience of cats, but I suspect would live happily with a confident cat. She travels happily in the van, but needs lifting in and out. Lead work is coming on, and she has a nice recall. She greets other people and dogs is a friendly manner when out. Her housetraining isn’t bad, but will need monitoring for a little while as she settles into a new home, because her training hasn’t been consistent in the past due to time spent kenneled.
Minnie loves children, but would probably be best in a home without very young children, (unless they are used to this breed), just because of her enthusiastic greetings, but she would love to be a part of a family, and will happily live with other dogs.
Minnie is living with Mick and his motley canine crew, in the farmhouse, at the Sanctuary near Kidwelly. We will send you our pre adoption questionnaire Once completed and after further interrogation, and a home check, potential adoptors will be expected to travel to meet, and assuming we, Minnie and her prospective adopter are happy, collect her.
