Munch – 11 year old male Jack Russell Terrier

Munch is an 11 year old male Jack Russell Terrier. Timid little Munch came into our care after he was taken to the vets to be put to sleep by his owner for biting the grandchild in the home when he became startled. Munch is not an aggressive dog and has always been fine around adults. He is not comfortable around young children and did growl at the grandchild on several occasions before this bite. We absolutely do not believe that his life should have ended because of this and are so pleased that we were able to save him. Munch is an adorable, affectionate and sweet little dog. He loves attention and will roll onto his back for a tummy rub! He is happy to be picked up and used to sleep in his previous owner’s bed at night.

Munch is clean and non-destructive and would make an ideal companion for a retired person/couple. He would be best suited to a quiet household and is fine to be left alone for a few hours but does prefer company. We are looking for an adult only home for Munch, free from visiting children and without any children planned for the future. Unfortunately he does not like other dogs and can be reactive on walks. However he has previously lived with a cat so may be able to live with another cat in his new home.

Munch does have a slight heart murmur and is in need of dental treatment but apart from this he is in good health and is a very active little boy who enjoys his walks. This adorable boy is sure to steal the heart of anyone he meets, we are desperate to find him a comfortable, loving retirement home.
