Munchkin urgently needs a new home before the end of August 2016. Otherwise, he will be put in kennels and won’t get the love and attention he desperately needs. Munchkin is a small short-haired mixed breed boy dog aged under two years, and he arrived in the UK March /April 2016, but sadly the adopting family was not able to keep him, and so he moved into a temporary foster home located in Woodford Green Essex (North East London). Unfortunately, he cannot stay there past the end of August 2016, and if he has not found a new home, he will need to go into strange kennels.
Munchkin also known as Raffi is a dog that needs a home that understands that he can be dog sensitive when on a lead which is most likely fear related from his terrible past. He has spent time with a behaviourist that put together a comprehensive training plan for him; this could continue with a rehoming in the same area that he lives now. Munchkin has shown he can be friendly with other dogs off leash. He does sometimes exhibit dominant play which again has been assessed by his behaviourist and before coming to the UK he lived with confident cats but has shown he is a chaser in his foster home.
We would prefer him to go to a home without cats and if possible, be an only dog so he could get all the attention he needs and with someone who can spend lots of time with him to prevent him suffering separation anxieties. Munchkin is small and cuddly and was rescued from the Balkan streets when he was seen wandering around looking lost. He has a glossy black coat with a little white flash on his underbelly. He has a joyful, happy personality and would love to have a permanent home of his own very soon.
Munchkin urgently needs a new home before the end of August 2016 to avoid going into strange kennels and spending too much time all alone again.
