Murphy is 6 month old male Airedale Terrier. Murphy has come to us as he was never collected from his breeder. He is a lovely lad who is learning all about life in a home as a much loved pet. He is a big boy who will need to be re homed with at least one other similar sized playful dog and with new owners who are around for most of the day. He is a very friendly good natured dog but due to his size older teenagers please. Murphy does show interest in the cat so either a very bold dog savvy cat or a cat free. No malice just a very bouncy pup who wants to play.
Murphy is not sure about walking on the lead, his foster has started training with him but this will need to be continued once he goes to his new home. Like all puppies everything is very new and interesting to Murphy and he would benefit from attending training classes to ensure he learns some doggy manners and to listen to his new owners.
As this is his first time in a home a few accidents should be expected. He has improved greatly but again this may take further work in his new home. He sleeps well in his crate at night and also travelled fine secured in the car.
Murphy has been neutered, had his first vaccination and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. He is also micro chipped. He is currently on foster in Basingstoke Hampshire.
*Update April 2017*
Murphy’s re homing has been placed on hold for a short time. He appears to have an issue with his leg and we will ensure this is fully investigated and resolved prior to re homing him. He has an appointment on 5/4/17 and we will update as soon as we have further information. If you have applied already, we will hold your application on file until he is ready for re homing.
Murphy was seen by the physiotherapist who completed a full examination of him. It has been agreed that there is the potential for an issue so we will be doing x-rays of the areas that have caused concern. This will be completed next week wed/Thurs. We will update you as soon as the findings have been looked at and discussed fully by the professionals.
Lets hope we can ensure Murphy has a long happy and healthy life. Please keep him In your thoughts.
