Mylie – 2 year old female Greyhound
Mylie is a small black Greyhound girl who has just turned 2 years old. This little girl is very friendly with people and soaks up any attention she can get.
Mylie is now in a foster home in Norfolk with two other female greyhounds where she is learning all about a home environment for the first time.

After close assessment in a foster home, Mylie has shown to be not 100% safe with small dogs. As such, we feel it would be best if she did not go to a home with small dogs such as terriers or toy breeds. Mylie’s ideal home would be with a laid back male greyhound for company, as she can sometimes be bossy with other females and likes to think she rules the roost! Mylie is very friendly and affectionate to people, and we think she could also live quite happily as an only dog.
Mylie is now in a foster home in Norfolk, UK, where she is coming on in leaps and bounds. She was sadly returned to us recently when her forever home didn’t work out. She is being socialised with smaller dogs regularly and this is gradually improving her manner with them.

Mylie is an affectionate, bouncy 2 year old girl with a lovely shiny black coat. She loves to play and romp around offlead in an enclosed space, and really loves her toys. She is fully housetrained, non destructive and is ok to be left for a few hours with other dogs for company. Mylie will need an owner who is happy to continue her socialisation and training with smaller dog breeds so that with enough time and repetition she will get used to meeting them calmly out on walks.
Mylie is currently sharing her foster home with another fostered Kerry Greyhound, Miko. They have become firm friends over the past few months and we feel it would be a shame to part them now. Miko is a lovely big calm boy with similar needs to Mylie and we would like to find them a home together if at all possible. We will separate them, however, if the right home comes up for one.

Like most greyhounds, Mylie will not need a huge amount of exercise. She is content with two 20min walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch her legs offlead in a secure area a couple times a week. She also loves to play with her friend Miko and this helps to keep her tired.
In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.
